Finally, there is some good news for farmers who have been suffering as a result of the state's prolonged drought. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh beginning July 18. The IMD forecasted fairly widespread and widespread rainfall in Bihar on July 19 and 20, respectively, on Saturday. On Monday, the Patna Meteorological Centre issued an orange-colored warning for the northwest and north-central parts of Bihar, as well as the districts of Patna, Buxar, Bhojpur, Nalanda, Arwal, and Begusarai. It has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in a few districts in north Bihar on Monday and Tuesday, as well as thunderstorms and lightning in all 38 districts.
