The number of active Covid-19 cases has more than doubled in the last week, reaching 8,970 on Tuesday, when the state reported 1,484 new cases. The state had 4,366 active cases a week ago, on June 21. A total of 441 active patients were admitted to hospitals, with 145 on oxygen beds and 43 in the intensive care unit. There were 223 patients, including 16 in the intensive care unit, a week ago. "Most people have mild or no symptoms of the infection," said Ma Subramanian, the health minister. "However, we advise all positive people and their contacts to get tested for viral infection," he said. The state has now increased the number of tests performed per day from around 15,000 to nearly 25,000. The state is capable.

The Madras High Court has ruled that reimbursement for foreign travel is not an absolute right conferred on officers of the State Bank of India (SBI).

On June 24, Justice S M Subramaniam issued the ruling while dismissing a writ petition from the All India State Bank Officers Federation in Chennai and the All India Bank Officers' Confederation in New Delhi challenging various orders passed in 2014 by the authorities concerned and directing them to continue the LTC/HTC (Home Travel Concession) to cover foreign travels provided to bank officers prior to April 2014.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has stated that he has visited Dubai five times since taking office in 2016 and has never forgotten to bring any of his luggage, as alleged by the gold smuggling case prime accused Swapna Suresh.

The Directorate of Government Examinations announced on Monday that 90.07 percent of the 8.43 lakh candidates who took the Class XI board exams in May 2022 passed. According to the data, the majority of students received less than 300 points out of a possible 600. Nearly 3.55 lakh students received less than 300 points, while 1.68 lakh received between 300 and 350 points. As many as 187 students received grades higher than 591.
