The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts light and scattered rain in Delhi on Thursday. The highest temperature is expected to be around 36 degrees Celsius. The national capital has been issued a green alert until July 19, indicating only light rain or drizzle. On Wednesday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 37.1 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, and a minimum temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal. On Thursday, the low temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees. Safdarjung, Delhi's weather station, recorded 123.7mm of rain in July. A large portion of it arrived between 8:30 a.m. on June 30 and July 1. (117.2mm). The average monthly rainfall in Delhi in July is 210.6mm. On Thursday, the air quality in Delhi improved even more. At 7 a.m., the air quality index was 79 (satisfactory), compared to 95 (satisfactory) at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
