The AIADMK faction led by Edappadi K Palaniswami (EPS) is attempting to persuade the other faction led by former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam (OPS) to accept single leadership for the party, but the latter is reportedly refusing. According to AIADMK sources, senior leaders, including former ministers SP Velumani, P Thangamani, and CV Shanmugham, met with Panneerselvam at his daughter's home in Chennai, but the senior leader refused to budge.
